  • Since 2011, LIC is contributing towards upkeep of a Greener Mauritius by maintaining various sites throughout the island through planting of trees hand in hand with SOPE.

  • GLOBAL RAINBOW FOUNDATION(GRF) (See Photos)

  • The Global Rainbow Foundation (GRF) is a charitable trust that aims towards the welfare of people with disabilities. The organization works in collaboration with other NGOs and companies to encourage individual empowerment and social integration of disabled people. On 16th August 2019, on occasion of 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, an exhibition of 150 plaques on sayings of Mahatma Gandhi contributed by LIC was inaugurated by His Excellency of India High Commissioner Of India at the GRF premises .This year the GRF is launching a “Torch It with white cane” project in Mauritius which will comprise of the distribution of 100 white canes to people with visual impairment. This initiative will enhance the life conditions of these people as well as facilitate their daily living.

  • SSR DISABILITIESSERVICE CENTER (See Photos)

  • LIC has contributed towards setting up of a digital classroom at SSR Disabilities Service Centre is a NGO which runs a school for disabled children at Triolet. This classroom is helping in imparting education to all the students of this special school.

  • LIC SPORTS (See Photos)

  • LIC, as an Organization has always encouraged sport activities, and from 2015, LIC has been in association with Mauritius Kabaddi Federation (formerly the Mauritius Kabaddi Federation) to promote the Kabaddi game in Mauritius. Our CSR activities have included sponsoring tournaments, sporting items like mats, training kits, blazers etc. for all participants during tournaments. In 2017 LIC sponsored the full cost of the Kabaddi equipment and In 2018 LIC funded the project Initiation and Tournament in schools and colleges. Recently, in March 2020 has undertaken to provide the Trophies, shields and medals and sports kits of 600 players for the Fit Future Season Project 1 and disbursed the amount to the Triolet Cub for the same.
